I bought this for ant-aging purposes, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it also has the benefit of clearing up my skin too. I'd been having recurring breakouts on my chin, jaw, and right under my nose. I've only been using this stuff for 3-ish days and my skin as totally cleared up. Other people mentioned a tingly, burning feeling when applying it. I haven't noticed that. However, I do put moisturizer on after applying this serum. I apply the serum, gently massage it into my skin, then use St. Ives Timeless Skin moisturizer.

I use the retinol followed by th hydro colic acid serum at night. Then I use the vitamin c in the morning. Let me give a little background info first. My skin is so sensitive! I am 35 and have struggled with acne since I was a teen. I have been prescribed so many medications from the dermatologist. I had been using tretinon, but it really dried my skin out. It was hard to wear make up because it would flake off. I decided to give this serum line a try and have been so impressed by the results. I have been using it for 2 months and my skin is beautiful. I get an occasional breakout, but it goes away quickly. My skin is so soft. No driness at all! My black head have cleared up too! I just can’t speak more highly about these products. I wish I had taken before pictures. I have had no adverse reactions and like I said, my skin is so sensitive. Give it a try!!!

I switched to this product from a retinol cream and LOVE it. I have a naturally rosie skin that becomes even more red after I wash my makeup off at the end of the day but I've started to notice that my skin is staying... skin color, haha. The darker spots on my cheekbones are also fading. It's a huge relief. I apply 4 drops on my face and neck after cleansing and toning, then follow up with moisturizer and eye cream and my skin feels incredible. Love this product!

I am 36, and started using this serum about 2 months ago. After 15 minutes of washing my face, I applied a small amount all over my face and neck. After about 15mins used a drop of avacado oil as a moisturizer. The next morning, I use a simple apricot scrub to lightly exfoliate. The serum took a while to show any significant difference on my face. About 1 month into using this, I started noticing that my dark spots have lightened, and my facial skin has become more taut. My relatives who saw me recently, complimented on my skin texture (they saw me without any makeup on). I just bought my second bottle since I am thoroughly satisfied with this product. I was looking for a good night cream/serum, and this works very well. Not expensive at all. Just make sure you apply a moistirizer after this serum gets soaked in. Initially some people might experience peeling/ dryness. If so, limit the usage to twice a week, and gradually increase to every night. Do not wear this and expose your skin to sunlight, best if used as a night serum. One bottle lasts about a month if used every night.

I have always been careful about my facial skin, use always the best products for the day and night. I have been using Roc with Retinol for night and the eyes for the last three years. I turned 68 yesterday.....Well , just 2 month ago, I have been noticing the deep lines around my mouth....thought to try a Serum for the first time....I use it every morning only at the deep lines around my mouth and under around my neck.....After one month or so, I really noticed big difference....the lines are 50% or more better....I wear only my moisture around 30 min. after applying the serum just to keep my face free of the make up and the harsh chemicals...my face is shining....really. I am waiting to finish the products I am using now and stick with this brand, Tree of Life. will order the moisturizer soon....great item...I can give this item Ten Stars

This is the second retinol serum I've purchased from Tree of Life. I am no longer young, so I don't expect miracles. Retinol helps deter the breakdown of collagen and helps with exfoliation, which is so important because aging skin cannot tolerate coarse exfoliation products that literally scrape away delicate facial skin. I honestly see results even at my age. There are many makers of retinol serum, but I trust Tree of Life products, so I will keep using their serums.

For the price, I don't think this serum…

For the price, I don't think this serum can be beat. My reasoning is below. First, the things some people may not like: - This retinol serum is not "thick," but it is not like water either. I would put it at a "thin gel" consistency. This isn't a bad thing in and of itself (you won't lose it "running away" like watery serums), but some people like the watery-type serums more. This is definitely thicker than water. - This serum contains retinol. I know this is an odd reason to say someone may dislike it, but I read a lot of the negative reviews before purchasing this product (I always do), and many of them seemed directly related to retinol itself. Until skin is used to it, which can take a couple of weeks, retinol can burn, flake, and cause skin irritation. I never use new retinol products more than 2-3 times a week until I know my skin is used to it... and if you aren't willing to do that with any new retinol product, you can expect some irritation. - The packaging is more than adequate, and pretty protective, but it is incredibly simple. I assume that's why it costs less than some other retinol serums on Amazon (they didn't spend the money on packaging?), but every other retinol I've ordered/bought in stores has had pretty nice/fancy packaging. I didn't mind the packaging because I didn't buy it for the packaging, and the packaging wasn't in any way ugly... but it's not "spiffy," which might throw some people off (the product itself looks high quality and nice, the contact info is a US company, and the bottle was sealed, so we're good there). Now the good: - It has, literally, the same active ingredients as some of the much higher priced serums out there. No joke. I don't know how this is possible (again, packaging?), but after talking to a few companies through email... there is literally no difference in the active ingredients. - It has worked as well for me as my normal, much higher priced retinol-based products. I know each person's skin is different (disclaimer: my skin is already acclimated to retinol), but I see no difference in my skin between this and my other retinol which was five times the price. Obviously, I didn't expect a miracle product (I don't buy into that hype), but at this price I feel it has more than lived up to its value. - Many of the ingredients are organic (the title says 72%), and it is vegan (I asked). BONUS! - They contacted me in an email after I ordered and told me they have a 100% money-back guarantee, even if the bottle is empty. I think that's a bit ridiculous, especially as this cost me less than $11, but who am I to judge... I won't be sending it back, but evidently you can if you want to. - The product came with a card which had their customer service's email on it (I used it to ask if the serum was vegan, which it is). Oh, and I got a message after I emailed them, from the "founder of the company," asking if I had any questions on how to use the serum, asking if I was "satisfied," and reminding me that if I didn't like it I could return it for a refund. I didn't respond, but was pretty impressed by the fact they reached out on an $11 product. For the reasons above, I feel I can give this product a solid 5-stars. If I change my mind for any reason (if it stops working as well as my normal retinol, for instance), I will update this, but I have definitely gotten my money's worth. I have read their vit c serum is fairly decent, so may try that next. I am still undecided as I like my current c serum, so would appreciate anyone who has used it responding to this to give me your thoughts (I prefer "verified purchase" responders please, because I trust those more). Thank you for reading, and if my review helped, please vote it up below.

Ive seen some of the bad reviews on her…

Ive seen some of the bad reviews on here about this product. One being the company asked for a glowing review of their product. I can tell you that I have not been approached or even asked to leave a review. It is all me and my experience alone. I seriously wish I had taken before pictures. I am 41 years old and up until this last year I had zero problems with looking way younger than my true age. I was nowhere near self conscious about my appearance. But this last year something happened. And I started to look old-ish. It was depressing. Mainly around my eyes. And I tried everything. But still the skin around my eyes remained dry with pronounced wrinkles. And the lines were so pronounced no matter what I tried. I bought this serum a while back. It was cheap and had good reviews. But tbh I used it like maybe a couple times before it ended up at the back of my nightstand drawer with all the other products I bought and hardly used. For some reason I saw it in there and decided to just give it a go. I'm not joking. Immediately it was like the lines disappeared. I honestly could not believe it!!! I didn't go straight to a mirror afterwards hoping to produce a miracle. I was brushing my teeth getting ready for bed and looked in the mirror like wtf!?!? Where'd they(my lines) go? Figured it was a one off. But it isn't. I came back here to order a few bottles more because I dont want to run out. Such a drastic difference!!! No bs I swear! I know there is no such thing as a miracle product. But darn it. This serum comes real close!! Idk if it will work for you. But it did for me what the most expensive products I could buy didn't do. And I most definitely will continue to use this serum. Fyi my beauty routine consists of the basic. Wash, serum, moisturizer. Twice a week microdermabrasion and occasionally use sheet masks. I also take collagen supplements and that seems to help retain moisture necessary in the winter time. I have never used a product that produced immediate results like this product did for me.

I never had acne as a teen luckily, now as I'm 27 I've been dealing with it on and off. I have been having really bad acne lately to the point it wouldn't go away. This was really messing with my emotions, anything I tried wasn't working. I started researching what works well for adults with acne and came upon retinol. I looked on amazon to see what brand and what price fits my budget. I then found Tree of Life retinol and decided to give it a go. I wash my face every morning and apply their hyaluronic Acid. At night I wash my face, tone it with rose water and then I use their retinol serum. I do use at derma roller sometimes and I feel like this helps maximize the benefits of the serums. The serums are nice, not greasy. (I have oily skin so I'm careful to what I use) I want to note I am exercising and eating healthy trying to get myself at balance. I did leave two pictures to show the difference between couple weeks(I did not want to but I figured it might help some people who struggle with acne). I have a little bit of scarring already so I'm hoping this goes away with time and patience. I also figured I'd mention I bought this with my own money.
